"It's amazing what you all have done in two years," Jack commented.  "Places like Black Pine are necessary," he continued, "and the animals are happy."

Beer Tasting a Success!

Lots of first-time visitors and many old friends came out to enjoy our first annual Lions and Tigers and Beer, Black Pine! on October 13.  The benefit beer tasting and hog roast raised Lions & Tigers & Beer, Black Pine!about $2,500 to help offset winter operating expenses.  The beer was plentiful, whole hog roast dinner fabulous, and Six 'til Midnight offered a great mix of classic rock to entertain everyone.  Thanks to our sponsors (House of Spirits, The Dock, Whiteshire Hamroc, Stump's BBQ, All Event Catering, and Six 'til Midnight), and our many staff, board,  and volunteers, for making it happen - and to all who attended!  Mark your calendars now for Saturday, October 11, 2008 when Lions and Tigers and Beer, Black Pine! will return!

She did not learn the colorful phrases at Black Pine, and we do not encourage her to repeat such language.
